Staking & Unstaking

Stake

When users deposit INJ into the TruStake vault to be staked, they receive a balance of TruINJ at the current TruINJ / INJ exchange rate. This serves as a receipt to keep track of their stake.

Unstake

When users Unstake from the TruStake vault, the equivalent amount of TruINJ is burnt and their INJ is unbonded from the validator. For INJ, the unbonding period is 21 days. During the unbonding period, the staked tokens are locked on the blockchain and cannot be used for transactions or earning rewards. Once this period is over, the unstaked INJ will become available in your wallet for use.
